ART 031A COLOR AND COMPOSITION-TWO DIMENSION:
Challenge and Solution:
My first time taking a two dimensional class and i've started to develop a new skill in using paint and canvas paper. I have never did a project in paper before in any of my classes and in this class we learn how to use canvas paper and paint, which we haven't covered yet in class. My first project was completely better than my second project. My second project was using 5 black and white curved shapes to create an illusion. I did a great job with the designing part, which I got a A on the project, but i wasn't satisfied at how it turned out. From afar it looks impressive, but when looking closer there are glue marks and the black canvas paper was bend a bit as well. It didn't seem professional and i didn't like how it turned out one bit. I started to become more careful and take my time more in my projects to make it look nice, clean, and professional. My first project, which was doing the elements/principles of design, was more beautiful and professional than the last one. I did the cutting stars more clean as well I removed all the glue marks away from the black canvas paper. The stars and the anatomy of the character i drew was very difficult to cut but it was worth it. I learned from my past mistake that I should carefully take my time on the project in order to make it look professional instead of rushing and making countless mistakes to make it look like an amateur.
