Club in Spring 2015-present:
The Queer club: I joined the Queer Alliance club because it seemed quite interesting and as well it was part of the First Pathway requirements. I support the LGBT not because I am a Pansexual myself, but because I support everyone's equal rights. The club was great at first, but then it started to become a bit dull and not very supportive in the middle. At first it was great because we would interact with everyone and tell stories about what makes us of who we are. It was interesting to meet many different people who all had the same mind of equal rights. But then later in the middle it was the same routine. I thought we would do fundraisers or other activities to show our pride like what I did in high school (such as doing the silent day where everyone who is in the club would stay quiet for the whole day in respect of the innocents who took their lives away due to bullying), but the only thing we discussed was about our troubled side of life. It was a bit depressing and I didn't had the time to keep going to the meeting after the middle due to exams and finals, so I had to leave the club. Even though I left the club, it still doesn't change the fact of who I am and who I support in life.
Bible Study: After leaving the club, I met two people who came up to me and discussed about what I thought about God and life. I'm Catholic, so I was a bit interested in the topic. I decided to go and check the club out myself and I met many great people who were very friendly and supportive. There would be a time where we have to read one section from the Bible and then start to discuss about the topic and share stories if we had an experience effect about it. It made me become less stress from school projects and let me feel safe and supportive in this club where I wasn't being neglected by negativity. I also learned many different stories I haven't learned at church as well, since the club was mostly made up of all catholic and christians. Til this day, I am still going to the bible study group whenever I have the time from a class or school work. I was happy to meet such amazing and outstanding supportive people there in the club, and I will continue to go as long as I am still in PCC.
