Career Reflection:
Dear Present Amber,
Throughout my years in life, I would tell my myself from the past about how I became what I am today. I would tell myself to not let anyone bring you down to the point of giving up. Stay stand up to yourself in what you believe in. Many people, such as your relatives, will constantly or repeatedly tell you to pick another career as they believe being a doctor or lawyer will bring you more money and happiness in your life instead of becoming an animator or something you would love to work for the rest of your life. They would believe that picking your career isn't about picking the career you wish to become but should only focus on the career that makes a lot of money. They believe that you should work at a job you wouldn't be happy but you will still make a lot of money instead of working at a job you will love to work and make money as well. Their words can never bring you down or make you give up on your dreams. You must stay strong and push yourself to the limit in becoming on what you believe in, not what others want you to become.

Once you achieve to accomplish your goal, you will be already a great successor in animation arts and would be working for a company; such like Disney. You would be making movies or television shows for them as you would impact the world with your artist skills and creative ideas to inspire other young generation animators to make them believe in themselves and achieve their dreams instead of believing on what other people want them to be. It won't be easy as you will be faced with many challenges ahead in accomplishing your dream. You will be facing challenges in college, face with negativity comments or advices from people who do not believe in yourself, and might be faced with difficult projects when you get your career dream job. You may been stuck on your way to victory, but there is always a way to help you from your difficult situations you encounter along the way.

Who has helped you view yourself in a new way with new possibilities and how has your view of yourself developed because of them? When you life gets you down or you are stuck along the way of your quest to successes, you can always get help from your father, who has always been helping you through life. He was always the one who ever cared in what you want to be in the future and has always been there by your side when you ever need help. He had made you open your eyes and made you understand what career is perfect for you that you will love to work in for the rest of your life and also how this career is perfect for you instead of choosing a career I'll be miserable instead of being happy. Your mother sometimes may not have been supportive in the past, but now she is accepting your choice in the future and has been supportive with you in school and in your career choices. She sometimes doesn't show it or sometimes give you important lessons like your father, but she still cares and loves you as she tries her hardest to help you accomplish your dreams. Also your brother, who was your role-model in becoming an artist, and your godparents, who have always been supportive of you, are your great supporters as well. They help you in your time of need and cheer you up to make you not give up on your dreams. These five important people have been always so supportive of you in your choice and made you understand who you want to be in the future as well. From what I learn from my past is that never do anything alone. If you ever run into problems, it's always the best way to contact a friend or anyone who can help you anyway they can. Even though you know what you truly want to be, here are some small advices I would like to give to you that can help you in life, present me.
After participating in the experiences I have this semester, the story of myself can become developed in the future. How is experiencing school activities help you in the future? It allows you to understand what's important in focusing on your job, always finish your projects or assignments before the deadline to show an impression on your boss or anyone you work for, always have great communication with your teammates, if you ever stumble yourself into trouble along the way, never forget your not alone and should always ask for help or advices from others who seem to know what your problem is. But what if you don't become an animator? Even if you don't succeed as an animator, there are other possible careers that will also suit you in the future. You can become a product designer as you can create characters such as MARVEL characters or disney characters to sell in stores since you will be already have the skills of character designing in school. You can also become an illustrator or comic creator for companies such like MARVEL, DC, or any small companies to show the world your creative stories in comics or pictures. There are many more possible careers you can achieve if you don't become what you want to me, so never forget that.
The successes have I had that have given me get a glimpse of who I can become is through having experiences in classes in community college first before transferring into a major art college. If you had ever started at a university and you had decided one of the majors isn't for you, it would have been a waste of years and money on what you didn't wanted to do. Thankfully you did the right choice in going to PCC where they can help you discover what is your true purpose in your career, which you changed from art therapist to animator. What will it take to get to that reality? Focus on what is important to you to be able to transfer to an art school first and then from there, determine yourself to face challenges and push yourself to the limit in learning new art skills in digital and traditional to get the job you truly dreamed about. It's good to use references in your drawings as it helps you start to develop your own skills and find out how you can create a work of your own with inspiration. Many artists and animators use references everyday to help them make their masterpieces. Never do things alone. Many people become successful when they are getting help and support from friends and families. Do not think you can do this alone. You will face troublesome times where you think you might want to give up, but never let it down.

Focus on more than one career choices. If one fails, you can continue on in studying on another major you want to become. Start making commissions and open up your own small business or make a portfolio to show the company that you are determine to show off your skills to them and show that you can improve their company as well with your ability. Start out small first before reaching to high point in the company business. The best way to start of small would be opening up an etsy or storenvy store to sell your drawings. Commissions will help you make money to buy equipment in what is necessary to make your dream as an animator come true and it will also be a great opportunity for people to advertise your work and allow you to get the attention of people in companies to hire you or commission you for a project. You will stop at a point where you will be stuck, like a wall is between your path to success. Climb or break that wall to show you won't let nothing stand in your way to get to your dreams. There will be challenges you will face will not make you weak, but will make you stronger and it will develop a new skill in determination that you don't want to give up in reaching your dreams. Always remember to keep you head up high and never go back down on your dreams and goals. No one can change or make your future but only yourself. I believe in you and I know you will achieve your goals in the future. Best wishes to you, present me.
From,
Future Amber
